T&Cs
Below is a set of no-nonsense terms & conditions which I hope will make life easier for everybody involved. My T&Cs are designed to be a WIN-WIN, not a term-sealed entrapment. I believe in keeping things simple and communicating effectively – I realise that my T&Cs may not cover all eventualities and ambiguities, but by being 100% honest with my clients (and not using lawyer-speak) I expect the same level of honesty back in resolving any matter that may arise.
- SEO is paid in advance. A great deal of expertise, time and effort goes into good SEO, and the effects cannot be undone easily afterward – not without resorting to unethical practices which would damage the client’s website reputation. I’m strictly ‘white-hat’ or ‘above-board’, so that won’t be happening. Every SEO charges in advance – I’m no different in this respect.
- SEO has no guarantees. If google can’t guarantee your website’s position, then I certainly can’t (nor anybody else, for that matter). An SEO’s job is to devise and implement a good Internet Marketing strategy and then measure the results. With the right metrics in place, adjustments can be made and resubmitted, then measure again, then adjusted and resubmitted… and so on. SEO is not a magic spell: you simply do the right things consistently and eventually your website will start to outrank your competition. Don’t expect to spend your pocket money on some SEO and beat all your competition – it may take time and effort, depending on how competitive your target market is and a few other factors (like who is competing for the same terms as you).
- There is no contract or tie-in. You are free to leave our agreement as and when you please. You are not bound to any contractual terms nor are you liable for any penalties.
- I reserve the right to terminate any agreement between me and the client should this be deemed necessary.
That’s it. Nice and simple. This seems like an appropriate place to add that:
- I’ve never had a client leave yet
- Ive never had to terminate an agreement
I believe the above 2 points are largely due to:
- Working hard and keeping my expertise up-to-date
- Using clear and efficient communication
